Fillin' in little blanks!

I'm playing along with one of my favorite posts that my friend Lauren does each Friday! Here it goes-

1. The strangest thing I've ever eaten was alligator jerky and rattlesnake.. they served the rib cage with it on the plate! It was in Arizona on vacation and it tasted like really chewy chicken.




2. My best friend is pretty darn awesome. I love how we can stay up for hours at night just talking in bed about random stuff and memories! I'm so happy I get to laugh and grow old with him for the rest of my life:)




3. If I could live in a different era it would be hmmm the Victorian era-only if I were royalty though for the balls, castles, and fancy dresses, it would not be as fun if I were poor and had no flushing toilet and hand sanitizer like we do now! My grandma says we're related to the first king of Scotland so maybe I'd be his daughter:) I'm also the 5th cousin of Alexander Graham Bell (think telephone) and my other grandma has traced our family back to coming over on the MayFlower! I also I love the book Gone With the Wind and also always wanted to be a pioneer..so during one of those times too (I'm really bad with dates..my high school history teacher just showed us SNL the best of Will Ferrell and The Daily Show everyday).. okay that was a long answer if anyone is still reading this !


4. I like when people pay attention at 4 way stops.. it drives me nuts when they don't and then go before me!




5. If you only know one thing about me it should be that Well I can't top Lauren's answer so I'm going to have to plagiarize it- "I love Jesus. I'm not perfect in my faith...I actually struggle often, but I'm trying to love others the way He did...without judgement and/or expectation. It's a work in progess." Well said my friend!






6. My favorite book of all time is Redeeming Love, Gone With the Wind, and my Bible, which is the only book I reread every year.. okay well lately it's more like a 18 month schedule for me to get through it.




7. The one beauty product I couldn't live without is  oh boy...just one? Probably my razor! I shave everyday and I'm getting some laser hair removal soon from a slamming deal off the website Groupon! I can't wait! Makeup wise I'd have to say concealer since I still get some dumb acne at 23. UGH




8. Blogging is something that I find to be very enjoyable! I was just telling my husband tonight how I feel inspired all the time to try new things (get more crafty, recipes, decorating) and I love seeing different parts of the country where people live. I didn't really know what blogging was until I started! I thought people just did it if someone was sick (caringbridge) or if they were musicians or something. I love that so many normal people do it and I like knowing about the innerworkings of so many lives!




9. If I could star in a movie with any actor/actress I would want to work with Mel Gibson in his Braveheart days (not now)... now it would be Channing Tatum, James Franco, Josh Hartnett, Robert Pattinson, or Taylor Lautner (for obvious reasons.. but I think the person who would be fun to work with and is one of my favorite actors- Johnny Depp is my final answer! haha I never even thought about answering for an actress.. I like my men I guess.




10. One of the best feelings in the world is running my horse on the beach or at my uncle's ranch where there's so much room I can let her fully go and have no need for brakes! I know she loves it just as much as me:)

Easter family photos

Race and I celebrated Easter a week early with the big easter party we helped out at and took home a bunny from..
On Easter we went to church with my fam and met in my church's new building (warehouse) for the first time!

Race and my dad have been putting a lot of hours in working there and are there right now at 10:30pm as I type this!

It's amazing how this warehouse transformed in 3 weeks! A miracle really, praise God!

It's nice that our church has a place to meet with more freedom now.. we've been meeting in a middle school for 12 years (I've gone for 7 years) and now with more space my pastor can cut back from 3 services to 2.. for now that is! Here is the wonderful sermon we heard if anyone wants to listen- ACCF April 4th John 20 you won't be disappointed:)

After church we went to Claim Jumper with my family which is one of my favorite chain resturaunts. If you haven't ever been to one you should go! Their salads and motherload chocolate cake are divine!

After that we took some family photos on our porch and relaxed the rest of the day. Race and I just joined a gym (Bally's) and we went to use it and it was closed! So I talked him into trying out a Jillian workout video with me which was fun and I'm happy to say it made him sore:)

My mom got us an Easter basket! Giftcards, a dvd, and tons of candy, she's the best! I thought being married it might be the first year without one and I'm glad I thought wrong:) My mom is a spoiler and I know she'll be the BEST grandma ever someday! I got Race some shoes, boardshorts, and a magazine subscription he really wanted... I use any holiday as an excuse to get him gifts!

I was so proud of him for staying in the basket!

Awkward. I can't do serious but Race always thinks they'll be hilarious to try!

Has anyone ever been on this website? Race found it several months back and it cracks me up!

I had my camera on a tripod and Race got me this hand held remote that I constantly forget to hide as you can see here:) Whoops a daisy!

We love Gizmo!

Today I got him a harness, leave on shampoo, and a carrier. The harness looks so cute on him but it is going to take some work for him to get used to. He is  super fisty!

Bad news bears- I lost my cell phone today. I really hope it turns up. It's nothing special but I feel naked without it and don't want to have to get a new number. AND my contract is almost (July) up with dumb tmobile and I can't wait to switch providers! UGH. If you see it let me know. It's green and extremely beat up with a picture of a bunny as the background.

The girls I babysit got a bunny from the same party and we like to have play dates when I watch them-

Fill in the blanks..a week behind schedule!

This is my mom and I and she told me that my dad made that dress for her! I swear there is nothing he cannot do! I didn't know he could sew.. he is the manliest man I've ever met so I guess his other side comes out once in a while.

So I've been pretty busy this week because of my new little rag a muffin! Seriously like all my free time has gone to bunny foo foo. Race and I gave him a trim around his eyes so he can see better! I guess he is a purebred Lionhead and has pedigree papers and everything! He has started showing his true colors now that he's comfortable around us and is a very spunky, rowdy little guy! Okay I know this probably isn't interesting anyone besides myself so I'll get off the bunny topic.. without further ado I will fill in some BLANKS!!

1. The best piece of advice I was ever given was "a good loser is a real loser." -my dad told me this growing up! Needless to say its made me a pretty competitive person..

2. If I had a million dollars to give to one charity I would give it toHmm I would look into it a lot longer because I'm not sure.. I really like World Vision and my family has helped out lots of children over the years. They provide the kids with food, education, and God's love. I had a Filipino boy Daniel who was like a pen pal and we wrote back and forth for many years.

3. If I got to choose my "last meal" it would be that's tough...well assuming I could eat all this it would be- lots of brie and fondue, Olive Garden's chicken alfredo pizza, Pad Thai, ribs, my mom's death by chocolate cake, McMenamin's cajun tots, and a whole bunch of cookie dough and Phish Food ice cream! Call me a fatty or what..

4. My hair is long, brown, and very straight. I get a ton of highlights from the sun in the summer and I used to hate it because I wanted to have hair like Jasmine's.. but now I don't mind. I also got perms from like age 7-16... but now I like having straight hair because its easy and can air dry and I don't use any products.

5. If at first you don't succeed take a nap or eat chocolate. I can't think of anything inspiring to say.. "try again" I guess would be a good answer.

6. I have always been very short and loud.

7. Oh....and by the way.... I have a super sweet new bunny
(I obviously can't stop talking about) who is learning how to cuddle and watch movies with me and I might want to get him a wife and then raise their little bunny babies!
Hooray for Easter this weekend and my church getting to meet in our new building!

It's freaky how much they look alike! They must be related. Gizmo's mane is more imppressive though.

My sister is asleep on my couch right now! We just watched a movie and the tired little college girl can't stay up past 12 I guess... haha actually she just goes on like 5 hours every night and then crashes. I don't get it. I love me some 8 hours of sleep every night! I'm very disciplined in that area and pretty much stick to that! Probably why I'm healthier then her..but she probably has more fun then me.. she just got back from a spring break Mexico mission trip and I'm jealous hearing about it! I have such an itch to go somewhere! I'm living vicariously through her right now..

My dad and hubby have been giving up their free time to volunteer on our new church building and its past 12am and they're still working! I'm very proud of them and their servants hearts. I miss Race though and we have gotten way behind on our tv shows! Can you believe we're 2 weeks behind on 24?! Say it ain't so!
