Busy, busy, busy!

So I decided I'm too busy to blog everyday. It was my goal, but I've come to terms with the fact that I just don't have the time! Maybe when I don't work as much.

I had a great weekend!

Race and I gave horse rides to tons of kids at my friend's big Easter party. We were too busy to get a pic of it, but here are some of the ones I got-

The barn full of lots of people!

The mad dash for candy and eggs! I joined it.

Pretty creek I ride my horse in!

The Easter Bunny was a big hit.

Spring has sprung!

Me and a cute baby bunny who got taken home by the 4 year old I babysit who decided she wanted to name it after my husband-Race. haha it's too cute for that name! But big Race is flattered:)

See if you can find the awkward squished chick! They were all fighting to be under the heat lamp (it didn't need to be that crowded).

Love at first sight. I didn't know at this point I'd be bringing him home!
Tired baby goat!

Cute little wanderer!
I love Dutch. He was twice as big as the mini horses there! He always follows me on my rides and struggles to keep up when I run Bella!

Riding the beasts back to their pasture after their "hard" work walking in a circl for 2 hours! haha we probably gave like 100 kids rides between the two of us!

Brought this guy home! Gizmo! We are going to breed him to one of the whites bunnies to have new babies at next year's spring party. He is a 4 month old Lionhead rabbit and we're in love with our first baby together:)

a new video game buddy!

Race is creative..or strange with the things he comes up with..
yesterday morning he was hiding carrots for the little dust bunny to find around the apartment!

There's his eye! I might give him a trim because besides this shot he can rarely see with all the hair in the way.. I don't think he'd survive long in the wild!

We just got him a big cage and litter box and here I am putting the poo in it to try and teach him.

He is a very sweet bunny and has yet to bit or chew on anything! He is running laps right now twisiting and kicking his feet up! If anyone has any bunny advice lay it on me!

Jillian Michaels you kill me.

So as I mentioned in a post or 2 ago that I want to get in better shape...mainly to get a new bathing suit but also to get ready for wakeboarding season.

This lady has been helping me A LOT! My mom came over and did this dvd with me tonight. It's amazing how sweaty I get from it... kinda gross actually.
and this dvd

I need to try the other one I got next-

Okay please don't judge my husband but do you want to know what he said about Jillian?
He said she is a "butter face" actually "but-her-face" and it means everything about her looks good- but her face! haha I know thats mean and I'd change bods with her in a heartbeat but I see what he means in that she kinda has a manly face.. Race is really nice and never really makes comments about girls appearances so this surprised me, but go figure I guess it was something his high school friends used to say about girls! Jerks.

I've never done dvds before but they're so much fun! Part of the reason I don't like working out is how much time it takes up...but with these it's 50 minutes maximum and I don't even have to leave the living room! I've worked out 7 days in a row and lost 3 pounds so far and want to lose at least 17 more..
I don't like dieting. I like eating food and just getting better about portion sizes and moving more. I don't really like blogging about this and am usually more private about this stuff.. but I figure some people to hold me accountable would be nice and help keep me motivated:)

I'm finding that I like working out after dinner. I like having more relaxed mornings and doing this at night prevents me from eating anything afterwards because I don't want to screw up the work I just did!
I've walked/run 2 marathons and signed up for my 3rd to do in October with my mom and some church friends. I think last time we ran maybe 8 of the 26.2 miles and this time I want to run more like half of it! I hate running and really like walking fast so this is a lofty goal! haha

Well that was a boring post.. but now you know and can tell me to keep working towards that new suit Race promised me! Oh and I also have to say I have the sweetest husband in the whole world who always tells me how he loves my body the way it is and prefers me without makeup:) So I guess it's good to know I'm doing this for myself and he's not pressuring me. He's hard to live with though because he eats like a fatty and is tall and thin! No fair. I'm jealous. Maybe it'll catch up with him one day..

I just saw a commercial for Cirque du soleil and I want to go! I've gone to 2 in Portland before and find them so entertaining! Probably my lack of flexibility and acrobatics makes me find them so incredible. I'm getting Lady Gaga tickets this week to go with two of my buds and my sis if anyone else wants to join us in August?! She's going to be entertaining you have to agree.

Have a great night!

Getting to know me...a few days late!

1. What year did you graduate high school?

2005

2. What part of your body do you neglect the most?

I'm going to have to say feet as I just found out today my husband washes  in between his toes everyday when he showers and thinks I'm a freak for not... haha the funny things I'm a WAY cleaner person then him.. he is just a little more meticulous in some areas:) We brought it up with some friends at happy hour and I was happy to find that the 6 people we were with all are like me and rarely wash between the toes! In the summer I'm way better about washing my feet when I wear flip flips all day!

3. Beach house or Lake house?

Well since we wakeboard and boat so much in the summer I'd have to say lake house! Lake Shasta probably.. if the ocean's temperature and weather was more like Hawaii here I'd probably say a beach house! How about a lake house within walking distance to the beach? That's how my friend Beth's lake house is!

4. Mac or PC?

PC

5. Did you wear braces?

For 8 months for having an overbite. I had so much fun picking the colors each time that I wouldn't have minded having them on longer!

6. If you could be one person for a day..living or deceased..who would you be?

My shallow answer would be Gisele Bundchen so I could be married to Tom Brady..
My holy answer would be John- Jesus' favorite disciple so I could see what it was like being face to face with my Savior:)
My nature lover answer would be- Steve Irwin, Bear Grylls, or Jane Goodall
My athletic side would be- bull rider Ty Murray, a jockey, or Shaun White

7. How many times have you moved in your life?

4 times with my parents (2 in Vermont, 2 in Oregon)
3 times since marriage (were on our 3rd apartment in 9 months haha)

8. Would you rather cook or clean?

I enjoy both. Cooking is more rewarding for Race (he is a total foodie) cleaning makes me happier..but I like pleasing my hubby so cooking is my final answer! Actually baking is.

Well that was fun! I had a great day today and watched two sweet little boys for 8 hours and then Race and I met my parents at Baja Fresh before church... except we skipped church and enjoyed the sun since it's supposed to rain the next two days! We explored our apartment's property and found a cool trail that leads to a field with horses and through some woods! I longboarded and Race biked. He insisted on lowering the bike down off our porch (3rd floor) with a rope and carabiner to the ground... needless to say he was bright red in the face and experienced major rope burn on his hands! I told him it was a bad idea and he said he just needs to perfect it. HA

Okay I have no spell check in this editor thing...does anyone know how to get that?! It drives me nuts and is probably showing my true self and how bad I am at spelling..and I want to hide that!

If you want to play "Getting to know you" head on over to- MannLand5

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

It has been GORGEOUS outside and it makes me soo happy! This weekend Race and I biked all over our little town which was quite fun. I rode my sweet no-gear bike that has a basket and Race was on my sister's tiny red road bike my mom got for her and she never rode it so we have it! A buisness right by us (Mentor Graphics) is on a really pretty campus that has like 5 different ponds with streams connecting them and bridges to cross them. We are both animal lovers and had fun seeing all the different types of birds! Then on Sunday we walked with my mom there and saw lots of nutria which most that I've ever seen in Oregon have been sick nasty, but these ones were little and cute without big orange teeth! I was walking Nilla (my parent's Great Pyrenees) and let her get so close to it that she tried pouncing on it! Here is Nilla-

Then Race and I went in our apartment's hot tub and then we watched the Life 2 hour premiere which was spectacular!! I love animals and nature so it's the perfect show for me:)

Yesterday I got together with my good friends Chelsea and Cassie and walked around Bridegport ("Oregon's Premier shopping center".. haha that's what it calls itself..kinda snobbish sounding..but it is kinda filled with stores I can't afford..Anthropologie is my fav) and then we got dinner and saw The Bounty Hunter. I've been seeing so many movies lately.. our Entertainment book had great Regal coupons which helps a lot! Chels and I also saw Remember Me last Thursday.. I mainly did to see Robert Pattinson:)
Here are Cass and I in Januray-

Chels and I during college taking photos in my hilarious dresses-

I love both those girls a whole lot and treasure any time I ever get to spend with them!

Today I only nannied until one and then my mom and I took the dog on a walk. We took her off the leash (it's out in the countryish area) and she ran right over to a dead deer carcass. Gross. I'm thankful that us humans don't have a desire to go see rotting animals and eat and roll in them. Maybe I should say us girls don't.. I picture a lot of guys thinking it'd be sweet to check out a dead carcass...
Then we went and got pedicures! Last time I was there getting my eyebrows waxed she told me she'd give me a free one sometime.. but then hearing about how their beautiful little place is struggling so much my mom was so kind and said "I'm treating Cailie to this." Which made me happy because I'd feel bad not paying after hearing they can barely make rent! West Linn is a pretty "yuppy" city and with 25,000 people there are 7 nail places which seems like a few too many! This place went in last April..not a good economy to start a new business and everything around them is going out of  business left and right! The pizza place I really liked is now gone too bummer! Anyways the Vietnamese girls are such hard workers and the girl I always use is so cute and going to school for fashion right now. I'm going to commit to at least getting my eyebrows done there every 5 or 6 weeks.. I would like to say I could get a pedi there that often..but at this stage in life I couldn't really justify that!:)
I wish.
Being there today made me realize how much I have to be thankful for that my hubby and I both have work and only a tad bit of school debt! We could be so much worse off and I feel very blessed.

Here are my fat, flat feet! I brought my own color (Mermaid by OPI) because I like being able to do touch-ups and make it last longer! They put my feet in hot was which was a first for me, but it left them super soft!

I just looked off our porch and snapped a photo of the purty trees-

Aren't they great?! Just beyond the parking lot is a marshy area which is super loud at night with all the frog mating going on! I love it.

Well Race and I just got done with the Tex-Mex casserole I made (I took a break to eat during writing this) and now I want to do my Jillian Michaels' workout video and then watch a movie. I just got 3 of her workout videos and they're kicking my butt! I want to get this suit from Target (from the new Liberty of London line I'm in love with) and asked Race if I could get it if I worked out 4-5 times a week for a month and he said yes! haha I always need little rewards to do stuff and to motivate me! I love bribes and things to look forward too and work towards:) I thrive off that. I wish I could just think "hey wakeboarding season is coming up and I need to get in shape" but no I think what can I get out of this?! haha if I meet my goal, I mean when I meet my goal, then maybe I can work towards a new pair of designer jeans.. :)

Have a great night everyone!!

Oh and I've really been missing my ducks I had last spring.. I'll blog about them sometime, but to make me happy here are some photos of Darkwing and Ishmael-

my sis and I lovin' on them

Our first babies:)

They loved the utility sink in the basement:)

They grow up so fast!

Love.

She was smaller but bossier!

Synchronized swimming in the kiddie pool!
Race is blindingly white. It was in May though..
He was the spiting image of his father!
ha ha

Now everyone go buy a duck! They were SUCH fun pets! We lived the dream..and want to do it again when we have kids someday:)

Two Things I'm lovin' and the giveaway I won!

It is GORGEOUS outside and the 5 day forecast looks amazing! And who says Oregon gets a lot of rain? People seriously dramatize the amount we get. I think this has been one of the nicest winters yet and now it definetly feels like spring! Our apartment has gorgeous flowers and trees everywhere and I should get some photos!

So I'm a day late I'm playing the two things you love around your home game from Bacwoods Fern. Be sure to link up over there if you play along!

The first thing- I love my bed.
It was the first big purchase Race and I made together and it is soo comfy! My mom got me the duvet from pottery barn and the blanket on the end is because I like weight on my feet when I sleep! Maybe because I grew up with a ton of stuffed animals at the end of my bed and got used to having weight down there.. anyways my grandma knit that blankey a few years ago for me! The other side is purple velvet and I love it! I'm thinking we might need a light quilt for the summer because I bought the heaviest down comforter Macy's sells! Race sleeps pretty much just under the sheets every night but I love its weight and warmth:) The final thing we need for the bed is a frame and I decided I don't want a pottery barn one anymore and am happy with this cheap overstock.com one-

Oh and did you know their shipping is under $3 on everything?! Genius! That's the thing that keeps me from buying online- because most of the time the shipping charges rape you for all you're worth. I figure someday we'll probably get a king size bed and this will become a guest bed so I can get my dream 4 poster bed frame then!

Detail of my comforter.. I love the hand stitched look! Makes me think it was made with love:)

Okay this is embaressing how wrinkly it is.. haha I just got this bed skirt and tried ironing it and then Race and I had to slide it under our mattress (which is super heavy, I mean it takes 4 full grown men to carry it it's so heavy..the guy at Mattress World said he'd never seen one so heavy before).. so the two of us had to shimmy it under and it lost any chance it had at being wrinkle free. Plus I don't really know how to iron.. so I think I'll just get it steamed at the dry cleaners when we move (what my mom suggested when she heard I was going to try ironing it, you were right Ma)! For now lets hope some of those wrinkles just come out on their own:)

The second thing I'm lovin'-

Is this random thing. It's a planter the sticker said? Our bedroom has a sink in it so I put it there but I need to move it at somepoint.. it'll be nice having our own house with more space one day! So this "planter".. please explain to me how to plant in it with it being so shallow.. was listed at like $150 and I found it at this random store and it was on the final clearance table and was $5. There was a bunch of random tape on it..but nothing a little elbow grease and hot water couldn't get off! Speaking of.. has anyone ever tried "goo be gone"? I've heard it works pretty great. I bought some Magic Erasers at Target yesterday and they are great! I could only find one mark on the wall to take off and it worked so well I almost made some more marks so I could take them off too. Ask Race, I told him I wouldn't be mad if he got a sudden urge to go sharpee the wall (I kind of even encouraged it, although he objected) because I am now equipped and ready to erase anything.

So I got home today and had a package! And in it was the giveaway I won over at Adventures in Love and Happiness!
It was in a cute box with polka dot tape but I ripped it off too quick to take a pic..

Super fun! There is a sunflower growing kit, flower pin she made, strawberry timer (which will look great in my red themed kitchen) and the hand she stitched! I want to be as crafty as she is. I told Race the other day my 5 year goal is to get a sewing machine and learn how to use it (I took a sewing class but they were grumpy old ladies and hated me after I loaded the bobbin in wrong and broke the machine..whoops), get better at knitting, learn to crochet, get better at painting, get better at photoshop, etc. Thanks Cole for the sweet package!

Well that is all.
Happy St. Patrick's Day! I love seeing my favorite color everywhere and I'm wearing a green tank top, a green shirt, a green sweatshirt, a green necklace, and my green vans shoes! I have so much green it was hard to pick this morning! Anyone doing anything fun?

Long time no blog!

HeLlO!
I've been really busy lately and slacking off on blogging. I had a spectaular weekend! Friday the hubs and I headed down to our college friends and got together with our friends Josh and Melissa who made us delicious gyros! Josh went and studied abroad in Greece so I like him to make them for me whenever possible:)
Here they are-
We took some photos before Mel went to Spain for fall term.

Silly billy!

It was a long shoot..they needed a little rest:)

te he!

I have known Josh longer then Race (since 7th grade) and am happy that we are both friends with him, and that he has a pretty sweet first girlfriend that I approve of and like a whole lot:)
Anyways maybe that makes up for the fact that I didn't take any actual pictures while we were with them!

I got really delicious froyo at a new place down there with of my best friends Chels and kinda went overboard with the toppings! You pay $.40 an ounce and mine ended up being like 5 bucks! Next time I'll get less yogurt, more toppings because I had a hard time finishing all the yogurt..but it was so hard to choose which flavor so I went with 3 :)
Here I am with Chels and my sis at Red Robins a year ago.

I got to spent a lot of quality time this weekend with my sister who I love oh-so-much! I'm so glad we are such great friends and I feel so blessed to have her:)

Here's my mom, sister and I at her school of ministry graduation last May (I just found the photo on my mom's camera..she never takes them off)!

We also got breakfast with Race's brother and sister and went to the Book Bin which is my most favorite bookstore! I got an ahhhhhmazing book that I'm going to include in part of a giveaway in a few weeks so be prepared and very excited!

Saturday night I babysat and was super tired from staying up until 3:30 Friday night dancing and then talking to my sis. But I'm so glad I did because I'm finding people are super generous Saturday nights and I got 20$ an hour:) Well worth especially since the kids were only awake for 2 of the hours haha! I love generous West Linn families!

Sunday I got one less hour of sleep but it is so much better with how late it stays light! Race and I went to church and then got lunch with our friends Julie and Christian at the pizza place in the building my good friends own (Mi Familia). Then we brought them over to meet my parent's baby chicks because it just so happens that Julie is obsessed with chickens! Perfecto.

Here with are with the fluffy headed babies I posted about the other day!

My mom went crazy wild and got 19 this year!

haha Kovassia being sexy I guess!

My favorite!

she's so happy! Even after getting pooped on twice! That's love.

Trying to convince the boyfriend to get some since he lives on property.. he wasn't having it though!

Then Race and I took our little buddies skating.

My mom and dad and the boys learning how to mow:)

Then I took a much needed nap while Race took the boys skating in the new church warehouse.. I guess it has really smooth cement (perfect for skating, or so I'm told).
Then I rode my big mare in the beautiful sun and was happy that when I got off her at 7pm it was still light! Glorious.

Yesterday I made pulled pork and cookies and bought potato salad and chips for the men volunteering to work on our new church building. My mom was on her way to bring me the rolls and deliver the food with me when Race texts and says "um so someone ordered a bunch of pizza that just got here." Ugh! haha it actually wasn't a big deal..except that I got off work early to have it all ready! I took it to them tonight instead and they were very nice and appreciative. One man asked if I was from the south? I guess the south eats lots of pork!

9 lbs of pork
2 1/2 bottles of bbq sauce
onions, lemon juice, brown sugar- yum!

I love my kitchen aid and it now has a permanent home on my counter!

A few of the many cookies it made. Here is the recipe from my friend Liz-

Oatmeal Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies:

1/2 lb (2 sticks) salted butter
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2tsp vanilla
2 large eggs
2c old fashioned oats
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp ground cinnamon
1/2tsp ground nutmeg
1/2tsp salt
1 c chocolate chips
1 c coconut
Steps:
1-preheat oven to 350
2-In large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter, brown sugar and vanilla til light and fluffy (about 1 min). Add eggs and mix till thouroughly incorporated
3-Add oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon , nutmeg and salt
4-mix on low speed till blended
5-mix in chocolate chips an cocount by hand with spoon
6-grease baking sheet with cooking spray
7-cook 10-13 min or until golden brown.

I was really happy with them even though I didn't have any nutmeg and put way more coconut and chocolate chips then required! I like lots of chunk:)

So sorry this seems to have been the longest post ever! I'll do a short one next time! I wonder if anyone even read this far? Race is out late again working at the church so I have a lot of time to myself so I guess this is how I choose to spend it:)

Have a great night!
Also be sure to check out this girl's fantastic giveaway! http://chelsea-rebecca.blogspot.com/2010/03/my-very-first-most-happy-giveaway.html
I hope I win real bad!
